Mattie Billadeau has been dancing since the age of 3 and a total of 18 years. Most of that time she was performing on a competing line where she won multiple group and solo awards and was captain of her dance team for 4 years. Mattie has studied with numerous professionals including Ellen Keane and Kathy Wind of Keane Sense of Rhythm, TU Dance Company, Erin Thompson, the Flying Foot Forum, Stuart Pimpsler, Marciano De Santos, Kirill Dak, Mathew Janczewski, Anna Itman, and Joel Klauser, as well as at the Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Resource School (F.A.I.R. School) and Main Street School of Performing Arts (M.S.S.P.A.). Mattie has performed at the Orpheum Theater, the Walker Art Center, Pantages Theatre, the Southern Theatre, and the O’Shaughnessy Theatre, as well as the Minnesota Timberwolves game.
Mattie was also a member of the Main Street School of Performing Arts Dance Company for 4 years where her solo was chosen to be in their Fall 2007 show as well as the jazz piece she choreographed for their senior showcase. This is Mattie’s 3rd year teaching with a passion for sharing her education with her students!
